Maker Makoi Emerges as Sole Survivor of Plane Crash in Unity State, South Sudan

On January 29, 2025, a tragic plane crash in Unity State, South Sudan, claimed the lives of 20 individuals, leaving only one survivor: Maker Makoi, an engineer working for the Greater Pioneer Operating Company (GPOC).

The aircraft, which was transporting oil workers to the capital city of Juba, went down just three minutes after takeoff, resulting in widespread grief and shock across the nation.
